06/07/2013 · hey' that gets rid of that dreaded red x icon. plugging in headphones in the front port must make the computer reconize somethings plugged in. i had the same issue when i hovered over the speaker icon....it showed no speakers plugged in ( when they are). so plug in headphones in front , take them out and go to your regular audio port in back. its not bad sound cards.

I don't expect you and I would use the same driver as we have different Gigabyte boards, but I'm wondering why you don't have Intel Display Audio and why your Realtek High Definition Audio Device is shown as "not plugged in", rather than default.
